Kakinada, Aug 4 (NationPress) Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Hockey Gujarat, and Hockey Mizoram each claimed victory in their matches during Division ‘C’ while Manipur Hockey, Assam Hockey, Hockey Himachal, and Hockey Association of Bihar triumphed in Division ‘B’ on the fourth day of the 15th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship held here on Monday.
The day commenced with Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey overpowering Jammu and Kashmir with an impressive score of 6-0 in Division 'C'. Khursheed Zainab achieved a hat-trick with goals at the 35th, 56th, and 57th minutes, while Janiel Shihangiya (49'), Nandniben Nandubhai Dulsada (47'), and Radhika Dandotiya (44') each contributed a goal.
In the subsequent match, Hockey Gujarat narrowly defeated Rajasthan in a thrilling 3-2 match. Goals from Purva Adroja (53’), Parmar Puriben (19’), and Pooja Dihora (35’) secured the win for Hockey Gujarat, while Gayatri Mahavar (21’) and captain Sakshi Sharma (47’) found the net for Rajasthan.
The last match in Division ‘C’ showcased a remarkable performance by Hockey Mizoram, who demolished Telangana Hockey with a staggering 15-0 score. Anjana Xaxa netted five goals (32’, 38, 45’, 46’, 48’), while Zothanmawii scored four (3’, 19’, 40’, 50’), and Z Laldintluangi added three (16’, 18’, 49’).
