Chennai, April 15 (NationPress) Kolkata Knight Riders' skipper, Ajinkya Rahane, has received a fine of Rs 12 lakh following his team's slow over-rate during their match against the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday, as reported by the IPL.
The IPL confirmed in a statement on Tuesday evening, "Kolkata Knight Riders' captain Ajinkya Rahane has incurred a fine due to his team's slow over-rate during Match No. 22 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 against Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai."
According to the release, "As this was the first infraction of the season under Article 2.22 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which relates to minimum over-rate violations, Rahane was fined INR 12 lakh."
