Holding 65 points from 27 matches, Bayern enjoys a six-point lead over the defending champions Bayer Leverkusen. Nevertheless, their latest performances have been inconsistent, with only one victory in their last three Bundesliga fixtures - suffering an unexpected loss to VfL Bochum, a draw against Union Berlin, and achieving a 3-2 home win against St Pauli.
