The first goal came in the 30th minute when a swift counter-attack transformed an Accrington corner into a Liverpool goal. Trent Alexander-Arnold, who captained the team that day, delivered a precise pass down the right flank to Darwin Núñez. The striker raced forward and set up Diogo Jota, who effortlessly finished from close range.
Alexander-Arnold, facing scrutiny in recent matches, unleashed a spectacular shot from outside the box, curling the ball into the top corner to provide the Reds with a comfortable lead as they headed into halftime.

Substitute Jayden Danns made an immediate impact. After an initial shot from Federico Chiesa was saved, Danns was in the perfect position to smash the rebound into the net in the 74th minute, extending the lead to 3-0.
Chiesa, who had come close earlier hitting the post, finally scored in the 90th minute. The Italian forward unleashed a low, driven shot from distance into the bottom corner, marking his first goal for Liverpool and sealing the emphatic win.
This victory guaranteed Liverpool a place in Sunday’s draw for the next round of the FA Cup. It was a commanding display from Arne Slot’s side, who comfortably overcame their lower-league opponents.
