Bhopal, Dec 23 (NationPress) The exceptional duo of Ramita Jindal and Himanshu Dhillon from Haryana showcased their skills by clinching the gold medal in the 10 m air rifle mixed team competition at the 68th National Shooting Championship held at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy in Bhopal on Tuesday.
The talented pair emerged victorious against Maharashtra's Arya Borse and Parth Mane with a score of 16–12 in the final, reinforcing Himanshu's impressive streak following his record-setting performance of 634.5 in the men’s 10m air rifle category on December 22, 2025.
In the battle for bronze, Rajshree Sancheti and Paarth Makhija from Delhi showed great composure to secure third place, triumphing over Madhya Pradesh's Shreya Agrawal and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar with a score of 17–15.
The junior 10m air rifle mixed team gold was claimed by West Bengal's Sandrata Roy and Abhinav Shaw, who defeated Tamil Nadu's Maneshika Tarun Senthil and Shaktivel Senthilvel with a score of 16–8. Meanwhile, Karnataka's Hrudya Shri Kondur and Naraen Pranav secured the bronze after a 17–9 victory over the Andhra Pradesh team comprising Nishitha Bommidi and Ummahesh Maddineni.
In the youth segment, Isha Anil Taksale and Pritam Kendre from Maharashtra emerged victorious after a tightly contested match, edging out Tamil Nadu's Maneshika Tarun Senthil and Shaktivel Senthilvel with a score of 16–14 to take home the gold. The bronze medal was clinched by Karnataka's Tilottama Sen and Abishek Sekhar, who defeated West Bengal's Sandratta Roy and Abhinav Shaw with a score of 17–9.
Following the festive season, the championship will continue in New Delhi, with the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men finals scheduled for Friday, December 26, at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, commencing at 2:00 PM IST.
