New Delhi, Feb 7 (NationPress) The tri-nation ODI series featuring hosts Pakistan, alongside New Zealand and South Africa, is scheduled from February 8-14 at the newly built Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Stadium in Karachi.
Pakistan will face New Zealand at the Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday. In this single-league format, New Zealand will compete against South Africa on February 10 at the same venue in a daytime match.
Afterward, the action shifts to Karachi, where the home team will challenge South Africa at the National Bank Stadium in a day-night fixture on February 12. The tournament finale will see the top two teams clash on February 14.
This tournament serves as a valuable opportunity for all three teams to gear up for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, commencing in Karachi on February 19, where hosts Pakistan will meet New Zealand.
Mohammad Rizwan is aiming for his fourth consecutive ODI series victory since taking over as captain of Pakistan, having previously secured series wins against Australia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa last year.
New Zealand, who held their initial training session at the Lahore City Cricket Association Ground on Thursday evening, will seek to kick off the tournament with a victory. South Africa, led by Temba Bavuma, arrived in Lahore early Friday and will conduct their first training session on Saturday.
