Vadodara, Jan 11 (NationPress) Payas Jain is aiming for a triple crown in the WTT Feeder Series at the SAMA Indoor Sports Complex after securing the mixed doubles title alongside Syndrela Das and advancing to the men's singles final on Sunday morning.
The inaugural edition of the WTT Feeder Series in Vadodara, organized by the Table Tennis Association of Baroda and facilitated by UTT, is supported by the Sports Authority of Gujarat.
In the mixed doubles final, Jain and Das rallied after an initial setback to defeat the second seeds Harmeet Desai and Yashaswini Ghorpade with scores of 8-11, 11-9, 11-3, 11-6.
Earlier, Jain overcame fifth seed Akash Pal with a score of 11-5, 12-10, 11-9 to secure his spot in the men's singles final. He will now compete against top seed Manush Shah, who triumphed over third seed Snehit Suravajjula with scores of 6-11, 11-9, 14-12, 11-5 in the other semifinal.
Additionally, Jain previously reached the men's doubles final alongside Ankur Bhattacharjee, where they will face fellow countrymen and second seeds Akash Pal and Mudit Dani later today.
