Jaipur, Sep 22 (NationPress) The Bengaluru Bulls triumphed over the Gujarat Giants in a thrilling match held at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur, clinching the victory with a score of 28-24 on Monday.

Even though the Giants made a late push, it was the Bulls’ defensive strategy, spearheaded by their captain Yogesh, that ultimately determined the outcome, contributing six points alongside Akash Shinde’s seven points as the team celebrated a return to form.

The Bulls started strong in the early minutes of the matchup against the Giants, with raiders Aashish Malik and Akash Shinde scoring early points to keep their side in the lead.

They displayed composure in both their offensive and defensive play, with Sanjay Dhull and Alireza Mirzaian effectively limiting the success of the Giants’ raiders. The Giants, relying on Rakesh and Parteek Dahiya, struggled to make significant headway as Bengaluru held a slim lead at 5-4.

The dynamics changed dramatically when Visvanth V executed an impressive Super Raid, taking out Satyappa Matti, Sanjay, and Deepak Sankar in one fluid motion. This pivotal moment allowed the Giants to take the lead at 6-5, shifting the pressure back onto the Bulls.

In the second quarter, the Bulls regained momentum after the Giants had briefly taken control. A moment of brilliance from Akash Shinde, who executed a Super Raid to eliminate Shadloui and Nitin Panwar, prevented an all-out and firmly swung the contest in favor of the Bulls. Shinde followed this with consecutive successful raids, while Aashish added pressure to the Giants’ defense.

The Giants attempted to respond through Parteek Dahiya and Visvanth V, but the Bulls’ defense maintained its strength with timely super tackles, including a crucial one from Jitender Yadav. This defensive strength, combined with Shinde’s sharp raiding, allowed the Bulls to lead at halftime with a score of 17-13.

The Bulls tightened their grip on the match, maintaining a comfortable seven-point lead over the Giants at the conclusion of the third quarter. Despite the Giants’ efforts through Parteek and Visvanth, the Bulls’ defense stood resolute at key moments. Yogesh made a crucial super tackle on Dahiya, preventing the Giants from inflicting an all-out and shifting the momentum back to Bengaluru.

This defensive resilience was further complemented by consistent raiding efforts from Alireza and Aashish, keeping the scoreboard active for the Bulls. Even after Akash Shinde was tackled by Shadloui, Bengaluru’s backline preserved its structure. By fending off repeated threats of an all-out, the Bulls headed into the final stretch with a 23-16 advantage, appearing the more composed team.

The final quarter saw the Gujarat Giants mount a spirited comeback, combining swift raids from Rakesh and Parteek with multiple super tackles from Lucky Sharma and Shubham Kumar. The Giants steadily clawed back points, putting pressure on the composure of the Bengaluru Bulls.

Nonetheless, the Bulls' defense, spearheaded by Yogesh, proved too strong to break. A perfectly timed High Five from the skipper showcased the Bulls’ defensive prowess, thwarting the Giants’ final attempts at an all-out. They held on to their lead, securing a hard-fought victory with a score of 28-24.
