PKL Season 11: Maninder's Exceptional Display Leads Bengal Warriorz to Victory Over Haryana Steelers

Pune, Dec 4 (NationPress) Maninder delivered an outstanding performance as the Bengal Warriorz stunned the Haryana Steelers with a 7-point victory in a memorable match during Season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) at the Badminton Hall within the Balewadi Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Maninder secured 11 points, while Pranay Rane contributed six points, and Mayur Kadam achieved a High-5, leading the Bengal Warriorz to a 39-32 victory over the formidable Haryana Steelers. Although Haryana's Vinay managed to score a Super 10, it was insufficient as the Bengal Warriorz commenced their Pune leg with a crucial win.

Both teams started the match cautiously, exchanging points in the early minutes. However, the Steelers, led by Shivam Patare, swiftly built a 4-point lead within the first six minutes.

The Bengal Warriorz aimed to stage a comeback, but Vinay's Super Raid around the 10-minute mark put the Haryana Steelers in a dominant position. Despite the Steelers extending their lead, the Bengal Warriorz fought back and even took a brief lead, spearheaded by Pranay Rane.

While Vinay was relentless in his assault for the Haryana Steelers, Pranay Rane, with assistance from Maninder Singh, ramped up the pace as the first half drew to a close. Just before halftime, the Bengal Warriorz executed an All Out on the Haryana Steelers, resulting in a 17-17 tie at the break.

Maninder kicked off the second half by scoring the opening points, followed by contributions from Shivam Patare for the Steelers. The two teams continued to trade blows until a Super Raid by Shivam Patare provided the Steelers with some much-needed breathing room. Nevertheless, Maninder Singh maintained his scoring momentum, keeping the Bengal Warriorz within striking distance of their rivals.

With 13 minutes remaining, Vinay completed his Super 10, but the Bengal Warriorz were determined to fight back. The trio of Manjeet, Mayur Kadam, and Maninder led the offensive for the Bengal Warriorz. At the 30-minute mark, the scores were tied again at 25-25.

From that point onwards, the Bengal Warriorz surged ahead once more. Mayur Kadam achieved his High-5, while the formidable Maninder wreaked havoc on the mat. In the 26th minute, Maninder achieved his Super 10, and the Bengal Warriorz executed another All Out on the Haryana Steelers, gaining an eight-point lead.

The last minutes were fiercely contested, with the Bengal Warriorz striving to solidify their lead while the Haryana Steelers threw everything they had at their opponents. The powerful Mohammadreza Shadloui was effectively contained by the Warriorz, who were on the verge of an impressive win. Ultimately, the Bengal Warriorz secured a 7-point victory over the league leaders.
