Sixth seed Hruthik Katakam showcased a masterful performance, defeating Rudra Batham with a score of 6–2, 6–1 in a match that lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes. Hruthik did not encounter any break points, successfully breaking Batham’s serve five times across both sets to secure a decisive victory.
In another match, eighth seed Tavish Pahwa exhibited poise as he overcame Gyansh Manchanda 6–3, 6–1. Pahwa broke serve midway through the first set and maintained that momentum into a dominant second set, demonstrating his skill and precision from the baseline.
Additionally, top seed Prakaash Sarran from Karnataka impressed spectators by defeating Atharva Anant with a score of 6–1, 6–2. This match on Court 1 lasted 1 hour and 34 minutes.
Sarran’s aggressive groundstrokes and reliable serving allowed him to command the match, conceding only three games throughout.
Unfortunately, persistent rain in New Delhi disrupted the tournament's schedule, leading to the postponement of several matches in the boys’ and girls’ U16 and U14 singles main draw rounds, along with the doubles sign-ins.
Play will resume once the weather conditions improve.
Beyond the prestigious titles, winners will receive prize money totaling over Rs 21.55 Lakh and kit allowances in junior categories. Additionally, winners and runners-up in the U16 and U14 singles events will each be awarded a tennis scholarship of Rs 25,000.
