RCB's Smriti Mandhana Expresses Satisfaction with 2025 WPL Auction Selections

New Delhi, Dec 16 (NationPress) Smriti Mandhana, the captain of the reigning champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), stated that the team successfully achieved its goals during the 2025 WPL player auction that took place in Bengaluru on Sunday.

During the mini-auction, RCB secured Uttarakhand leg-spinner Prema Rawat for Rs 1.2 crore, and subsequently added Joshitha VJ, Raghvi Bist, and Jagravi Pawar for Rs 10 lakh each, finalizing their roster for the 2025 season title defense.

"I am truly delighted with our auction selections; we have obtained what we aimed for, enhancing the team’s dynamism and preparedness for various challenges. I am excited to welcome Prema Rawat, Joshitha VJ, Raghvi Bist, and Jagravi Pawar, all of whom have excelled in the domestic arena. I look forward to joining the girls in the dressing room and striving for excellence for our RCB supporters," Smriti stated in a press release from the franchise on Monday.

Prema caught RCB’s attention after her pivotal contribution to Mussoorie Thunders winning the inaugural Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL) this year. Joshitha, a pace-bowling all-rounder hailing from Kerala, participated in RCB’s pre-auction trials and is currently with the Indian team at the U19 Asia Cup in Malaysia.

Raghvi, Prema’s state teammate, shone as one of the top performers for India A during their tour of Australia and is part of the T20I squad facing the West Indies in Navi Mumbai. She also earned the title of Player of the Match in the India E winning Senior Women’s T20 Challenger Trophy held in Ranchi. Jagravi, on the other hand, was a part of the Mumbai squad that clinched the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy this year.
