Bhopal, Jan 30 (NationPress) Asian Games silver medallist Lakshay Sheoran from Haryana and local star Neeru secured the men’s and women’s trap championships at the 3rd Digvijay Singh Memorial Shooting Championship for shotgun events, which concluded at the MP State Academy (MPSA) Shooting range. Lakshay recorded a score of 47 to emerge victorious in the 50-shot final, while his cousin Neeru, representing Madhya Pradesh, finished just two targets behind in a tightly contested match.

Lakshay, with an impressive start in the men's final, successfully held off a strong finish from Fahd Sultan of Delhi, who ended two targets short of the winner. The qualification leader, Suleman Arsh Elahi from Rajasthan, secured the bronze, with Olympian Prithviraj Tondaiman finishing in fifth place.

In the women’s final, Kirti Gupta from Delhi gave Neeru a fierce challenge. However, a miss in her last ten shots cost her the title, allowing Neeru to win by just one.
