New Delhi, Sep 16 (NationPress) Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif commended Suryakumar Yadav, the T20I captain of India, for maintaining his concentration amidst the clutter of social media following the team's successful streak at the ongoing Asia Cup 2025.
Suryakumar is at the helm for India during this year's Asia Cup, where the team remains undefeated. Under his guidance, India secured a nine-wicket victory against the UAE in their opening match and followed it up with a commanding seven-wicket triumph over their long-time rivals, Pakistan.
In his praise for Suryakumar's leadership, Kaif tweeted, "Suryakumar Yadav stands out as a genuine leader in this Asia Cup. Delivering decisive runs in tense situations, skillfully managing the bowlers, and keeping his focus intact despite the social media din. SKY is a comprehensive captain."
Suryakumar ascended to the role of India's full-time T20I captain following Rohit Sharma's departure from the format. The Nagpur-born batsman announced his retirement from T20I cricket after guiding India to victory in the T20 World Cup in June 2024.
