Chennai, June 25 (NationPress) The final showdown of the men's section of the inaugural Hockey India Masters Cup (Men) is set to take place at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where Tamil Nadu will face off against Maharashtra this Friday.
During the semifinals held on Wednesday, both Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra secured their spots in the final by defeating Hockey Chandigarh and Hockey Association of Odisha, respectively.
In the first semifinal, Tamil Nadu dominated Hockey Chandigarh with a convincing 3-0 victory, marking them as the first finalists. The match kicked off with an impressive goal from Vinoth Kumar AP (1’), followed by goals from Sudharsan S. (40’) and captain Adam Antony Sinclair (54’), solidifying their advancement to the final.
In the second semifinal, Maharashtra triumphed over Hockey Association of Odisha with a score of 4-1.
