Council Bluffs (US), June 29 (NationPress) Sixteen-year-old Tanvi Sharma triumphed over Ukraine’s Polina Buhrova, while 20-year-old Ayush Shetty achieved the biggest upset of his career by defeating world No.6 Chou Tien Chen at the Mid-America Center, propelling both athletes into the finals of the BWF US Open.
Tanvi outmatched World No. 40 Buhrova with scores of 21-14, 21-16 in the women's singles, concluding the match in a swift 34 minutes. This young Indian, currently ranked World No. 66, previously claimed victory at the Denmark Challenge in May and reached the finals of the Odisha Masters last year.
