Karachi, Feb 3 (NationPress) The selection committee for the Pakistan women’s national cricket team has officially announced that off-spinning all-rounder Umm-e-Hani will step in for the injured Rameen Shamim in both the ODI and T20I squads for the forthcoming tour of South Africa, which is set to kick off on February 10.

The unfortunate injury occurred when Rameen suffered a left-hand thumb IPJ dislocation during a practice session at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. As per the PCB's statement, the batter is anticipated to be out for a period of four to six weeks and has commenced her rehabilitation process immediately.

Recently, Umm-e-Hani was appointed as the captain of Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ team for the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament. With her inclusion in the South Africa tour, Omaima Sohail has been designated as her replacement in the squad.

Additionally, Hafsa Khalid has been chosen to lead the Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ team for the upcoming 20-over tournament scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand.

The tour to South Africa for the Pakistan women’s team will commence with three T20Is held in Potchefstroom, Benoni, and Kimberley on the 10th, 13th, and 16th of February.
