"As you may know, we are excited to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, and our ambition to bring the 2036 Summer Olympics to India showcases our nation's confidence in its sporting aspirations," Usha stated.
She highlighted that hosting such prestigious events is crucial for propelling sports development nationwide. "These global events will not only put India in the spotlight but will also accelerate the growth of sporting facilities and inspire future generations of athletes," she noted.
Usha further emphasized that India's advancements in sports have been fueled by enhanced support systems and the increasing acknowledgment of athletes' needs. "Today marks a significant era in India's sporting journey. In the last decade, we have seen a remarkable transformation in how sports are supported and celebrated in our country. Athletes now enjoy better infrastructure, scientific training, and increased institutional backing," she articulated.
