New Delhi, April 18 (NationPress) The defending champions, U Mumba TT, are set to retain their successful coaching duo of Jay Modak and John Murphy for the upcoming season. Additionally, national team coach Sourav Chakraborty will make his debut as one of four new coaches in the Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) league, with all seven teams confirming their coaching lineups for Season 7, scheduled to occur in Goa in July 2026.

Chakraborty will lead the Ahmedabad APL Pipers, marking his first experience in the league, while former UTT Season 1 player Abhishek Yadav returns as a coach for UP Prometheans.

In contrast, Dabang Delhi TTC will introduce a completely new coaching structure this season, featuring Petr David from the Czech Republic—a three-time champion in Men's Doubles and a two-time mixed doubles champion—who will join forces with Indian coach Srivatsa Chakravarthy.

Commenting on the coaching roster, UTT Co-Promoter Vita Dani expressed enthusiasm about the balance of continuity and innovation among the teams this season. She stated, "The coaches play a crucial role in the preparation, adaptation, and overall performance of the teams. This blend of veteran coaches and fresh faces is bound to elevate the competitive spirit. We're eager for a season filled with intense matchups and top-notch table tennis."

The reigning U Mumba TT will maintain their successful coaching partnership, where Modak's expertise in developing young talents complements Murphy's extensive international knowledge. Meanwhile, Yadav will take on a coaching role alongside returning coach Chris Pfeiffer for the UP Prometheans, while Ahmedabad APL Pipers welcomes back former champion Francisco Santos to partner with Chakraborty.

Among the established coaching pairs, Dempo Goa Challengers will see the return of Parag Agarwal and Elena Timina. Sachin Shetty, who has participated in every season to date, returns alongside Julien Girard for the PBG Pune Jaguars, while Kolkata Thunderblades continue with the duo of Jubin Kumar and Tobias Bergman.

The seventh season of India's premier table tennis league will feature seven teams competing in a round-robin format, with each team facing off against the others once. After 21 high-energy matches, the top four teams will progress to the semi-finals.
