Patna, Sep 2 (NationPress) In a thrilling start to the sixth event of the PGTI NEXGEN season at the Patna Golf Club, Vinay Kumar Yadav from Delhi and Lakshya Nagar from Noida both achieved remarkable scores of four-under 68, sharing the top position after the first round.
Chandigarh’s Amrit Lal followed closely with a score of two-under 70, securing third place.
The Patna Golf Estate is a par-72, nine-hole course, where each hole is played twice to complete a round.
Vinay Kumar Yadav made an impressive start with two birdies on the front nine, thanks to excellent chip-putts. He continued his strong performance with two additional birdies on the back nine, highlighted by a fantastic drive on the Par-4 14th that landed on the green.
Currently working with the Indian Railways, Vinay expressed, “I played solid golf today, hitting most fairways and greens. My putting has been improving, and I was able to convert crucial putts.”

Md Nawab was the best-performing local professional, finishing tied for 16th with a score of 75.
