New Delhi, April 7 (NationPress) Washington Sundar, who significantly contributed with a vital innings of 49 to lead Gujarat Titans (GT) to a seven-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2025, expressed that he was truly ready to deliver his best whenever an opportunity arose.
In pursuit of 153 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Washington’s elevation to the fourth batting position proved beneficial as he scored 49 runs off just 29 deliveries, featuring five boundaries and two sixes, achieving a strike-rate of 168.97, thereby enabling GT to regain command of the match and finish with 20 balls remaining.
“It feels incredible, and I genuinely trusted the preparation I put in over the last 3-4 weeks. I firmly believed that when my chance came, I would be ready. I am certainly pleased with the way I batted,” he remarked.
