With 13 National Championships Under His Belt, Star Rider Hemanth Muddappa Aiming for More

Chennai, Dec 28 (NationPress) Renowned Indian rider, Hemanth Muddappa from Mantra Racing, who achieved his 12th National title last year, has successfully clinched another championship this year with a round to spare, and is setting his sights on more during the fourth and concluding round of the MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Drag Racing Championship at the Madras International Circuit (MIC), located near here, on Sunday.

With an unassailable lead of 29 points, the Bengaluru rider has secured the title in the 4-stroke 1051 to 1650cc Super Sport category, marking his 13th title. He is also competing in three additional classes, presenting an opportunity to expand his collection.

He is currently in the lead of the 4-Stroke 851 to 1050cc Super Sport class by 22 points over fellow competitor Niranjan Kumar, and is ahead in the 4-stroke Unrestricted class by 10 points against Mujahid Baig from the Fast Track team.

Nonetheless, he trails Hyderabad’s ace Mohammed Riyaz, also from Fast Track, by 10 points in the 4-stroke 551 to 850cc Super Sport class.

Despite being the most accomplished drag racer in the country with numerous records across various tracks, the combination of Muddappa and Mantra Racing remains eager for more, striving to achieve the remarkable milestone of 15 National titles.

“We have worked diligently and put in consistent efforts to reach this point. We are fully prepared and going all out to make history on Sunday,” stated Muddappa, affectionately known as LightningR1 for his incredibly fast runs. No rider has ever surpassed a dozen FMSCI National titles in the history of Indian motorsports.
