Zou Jingyuan's Commanding Parallel Bars Title

Zou, an Olympic gold medallist and four-time world champion, performed first in the parallel bars final and posted a score of 15.500 — a mark none of his rivals could surpass, giving him a comfortable winning margin. It was his third straight Asian Games title in the event, cementing his status as the discipline's most decorated competitor.

'Overall, I think my performance at the Asian Games was quite good. I had prepared for the worst before coming here, so I'm actually satisfied with the result. It proves that our previous efforts were not in vain,' Zou said. He added: 'But finishing one competition does not mean the end. As long as I keep going, there will always be another competition. I don't think I can be the champion forever.'

Tian Hao Shines on Return from Injury

The horizontal bar final proved eventful, with several gymnasts falling from the apparatus. Tian Hao topped the standings with 14.700 points, while Paris Olympic champion Shinnosuke Oka of Japan claimed silver with 14.033. It was Tian's first Asian Games appearance after an injury ruled him out of the Hangzhou Asian Games.

'I was able to showcase the horizontal bar more fully, and it is also my strength,' Tian said. With China's key gymnasts having already wrapped up their events, Tian noted that he competed with 'relatively little pressure.' He added: 'I'm in good form now. I hope I can maintain this at next month's world championships so that our team can achieve a better result.'

Japan and South Korea Claim Individual Titles

In the women's floor exercise final, Japan's veteran gymnast Aiko Sugihara won gold with 14.033 points, following up her earlier upset victory in the women's all-around — where she ended China's remarkable 13-title consecutive run. Her compatriot Misa Nishiyama took silver, while China's Zhang Yihan secured bronze.

South Korea's Hwang Seo-hyun claimed the balance beam title, with China's Qiu Qiyuan taking silver. In the men's vault, the Philippines' Carlos Edriel Yulo won his second gold of the Games, having already triumphed in the men's floor exercise.

China's Final Gymnastics Medal Tally

China finished the artistic gymnastics programme with seven gold, two silver, and four bronze medals. Their gold haul included the men's and women's team titles, the men's individual all-around, men's parallel bars, men's rings, men's horizontal bar, and women's uneven bars.
