New Delhi, April 8 (NationPress) On the occasion of a decade of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with numerous beneficiaries at his official residence.

Emphasizing the transformative influence of the Mudra Yojana, especially on women, the PM noted that women have been the primary beneficiaries of the MUDRA initiative, excelling in loan applications, approvals, and timely repayments. He hailed the disbursement of 52 crore loans under the scheme as a remarkable milestone.

Several beneficiaries who met PM Modi shared their stories with IANS, detailing the significant changes in their lives.

Suresh Rajaram Acchavar, hailing from Silvasa in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, expressed his joy about meeting PM Modi for the first time.

He considers it a privilege to engage directly with the Prime Minister, believing that this initiative can empower individuals toward self-sufficiency.

Previously employed at a company, he aspired to launch his own venture but struggled due to financial constraints. After receiving benefits from the MUDRA scheme, he founded his own business that manufactures packaging materials. Achieving success rapidly, his ‘Elite Enterprise Export Company’ now boasts an annual turnover of Rs 25 lakh.

“My goal is to elevate this turnover to Rs 60 lakh,” he shared with IANS.

Mudasir Hussain, another beneficiary from Delhi, recounted his entrepreneurial journey supported by the Mudra scheme.

“I extend my gratitude to PM Modi. We appreciate his assistance. The business is thriving,” he remarked.

“When Hari and I met the Prime Minister, he welcomed us to his home. It was a fruitful session. We shared our insights, emphasizing that the youth of our nation should strive for independence,” he elaborated.

Entrepreneur Manisha Rawat from Rae Bareli also highlighted the significant impact of the scheme, sharing her experiences during a meeting with the Prime Minister alongside about 50 others.

She launched her business in October 2024 after securing a bank loan of Rs 9.50 lakh. Her venture, ‘Choco Come True’, has made significant progress and now provides jobs to many locals.

She expressed her appreciation to PM Modi for the initiative and encouraged other women to seize the opportunities presented by the scheme.
