New Delhi, Nov 28 (NationPress) The recent 14-day India International Trade Fair (IITF) showcased significant involvement from a variety of sectors, attracting more than 18 lakh visitors, as indicated by the Commerce Ministry.
Dr. Neeraj Kharwal, the Managing Director of ITPO, stated that the theme “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” was evident throughout the fair, featuring exhibits that ranged from advanced technologies and innovative pavilions to agricultural advancements and sustainable initiatives, emphasizing India’s resilience, creativity, and immense potential.
The 44th edition of IITF, organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), concluded with a ceremony for award presentations.
In the Partner State category, Rajasthan was awarded the Gold Medal, Bihar the Silver Medal, and Uttar Pradesh the Bronze Medal. Maharashtra was granted a Special Commendation. In the Focus State category, Jharkhand earned the Gold Medal.
For the States and Union Territories category, Odisha secured the Gold Medal, Madhya Pradesh achieved the Silver Medal, and Puducherry attained the Bronze Medal. Commendations were given to Delhi, Goa, and Karnataka.
In the Thematic Presentation by States category, Meghalaya was awarded the Gold Medal, Kerala the Silver Medal, and Andhra Pradesh the Bronze Medal. Commendations were awarded to Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tripura.
In conjunction with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan activities during IITF, awards for the Swachh Pavilion were given to Haryana (Gold), Punjab (Silver), and Assam (Bronze), with commendations to Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Uttarakhand, and Tamil Nadu.
In the Foreign Pavilions category, Thailand (Thai SMEs Exporter Association) received the Gold Medal, Iran (Dorna Seyd Makran) the Silver Medal, and Dubai (Al Rawdha General Trading LLC) the Bronze Medal.
