4.3-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Ibaraki, Japan

Tokyo, Dec 4 (NationPress) An earthquake registering a preliminary magnitude of 4.3 shook Japan's Ibaraki Prefecture on Wednesday, according to the country's weather agency.
As per the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the quake struck at 7:11 PM local time and was recorded at a depth of 50 km, achieving a measurement of 3 on Japan's seismic intensity scale, which reaches a maximum of 7. Tremors were experienced in various areas of Tokyo, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
The epicenter of the quake was pinpointed at a latitude of 36.1 degrees north and a longitude of 139.9 degrees east.
Earlier, on November 26, a stronger earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 rattled off the coast of Japan's Ishikawa.
This previous quake occurred at 10:47 PM local time at a depth of 10 km, registering lower 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in certain areas of the prefecture, as reported by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
The epicenter was located at a latitude of 37 degrees north and a longitude of 136.5 degrees east.
