Tarn Taran, Oct 24 (NationPress) - The Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, alongside AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia and other party officials, conducted a volunteer meeting on Friday aimed at garnering support for the party’s candidate in the upcoming Tarn Taran assembly by-poll set for November 11.
The meeting witnessed participation from members and in-charges representing 103 villages and 23 wards within the Tarn Taran constituency.
Commencing his address, CM Mann highlighted that Punjab has always been favored by the Gurus, positioning it as a leader.
“This land has been destined to guide others; it carries the divine gift of leadership,” Mann emphasized. He noted that despite facing numerous challenges, such as drug abuse, corruption, and bribery, his administration has been dedicated to reforming and healing the system, achieving significant progress.
“The community elected Kashmir Singh Sohal for a five-year term. He was a dedicated leader aiming to serve the people through politics. However, fate had different plans. Today, we gather to honor his memory,” the Chief Minister remarked.
CM Mann called on the public to choose wisely, stating, “In the next one and a half years, you will determine Tarn Taran’s fate.”
He cautioned against the misleading narratives of opposition parties, especially those from dynastic backgrounds who lost their grip on power to the people.
“They are desperate. Those who were ousted from their luxurious positions by the common people's children are eager to reclaim them. They label this as a ‘semifinal for 2027,’ but this is not a game; it's a vote for truth and progress.” CM Mann reflected on the painful past of Tarn Taran, where families suffered grievous losses due to violence and drugs.
“Previous administrations led our youth toward gangsterism and rebellion, threatening ordinary citizens with false FIRs and legal troubles. However, in the last three and a half years, not a single false case has been filed,” he asserted.
The Chief Minister posed a question: “Has anyone heard them discuss electricity, schools, hospitals, or roads? We have revitalized Punjab after 75 years of turmoil. The journey was challenging, but with integrity and intent, anything is achievable.”
