Actor-Comedian Sunil Pal Claims He Was Kidnapped, Now Safe at Home

Mumbai, Dec 4 (NationPress) Renowned comedian and Bollywood actor Sunil Pal, who had been reported 'missing' since Monday, has come forward to state that he was 'abducted' in Delhi, but has now safely returned to his home, as indicated by his post on social media on Wednesday.
On Tuesday (December 3), his comedian wife Sarita filed a missing complaint with the Mumbai Police, but shortly thereafter, she confirmed that he was safe and had returned home, creating a buzz among his fans on social media platforms.
Following this, a video purportedly released by him on X claimed that he had indeed been abducted on Monday while in Delhi for a performance.
"I was kidnapped on December 2 but now I have returned home safely. I have provided my statement to the police. I will share further details once the police investigations are concluded," he informed his fans and supporters.
He noted that the kidnapping occurred in Delhi, near the border to Meerut, and assured his followers that he would continue to provide updates, expressing gratitude for their support and asking for prayers.
Sarita Pal also conveyed to the local media in Mumbai that her husband was back home, healthy, and had given his statement to the police.
The police are currently looking into the incident and are assisting the Pals. She mentioned she would disclose more information after the necessary procedures, including filing an FIR and obtaining police clearance, are completed.
In her police report on Tuesday, Sarita Pal indicated that her husband appeared to be 'very disturbed'; he had travelled out of the city for a performance and was expected back on Tuesday but did not return. Initially, his phone was unreachable and later turned off.
Born in Wardha district, specifically in the town of Hinganghat (Maharashtra), Sunil Pal, 49, gained nationwide recognition after winning the Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005. He later hosted shows such as the Great Indian Comedy Show and participated in Comedy Champions, Comedy Circus Ke Superstars, among others.
A Guinness World Record holder, he has also acted in comedic roles in films like Bombay To Goa, Bhavnao Ko Samjho, Money Back Guarantee, Kick, Crazy 4, Phir Hera Pheri, Apna Sapna Money Money, and many others.
