Ahmedabad, Jan 5 (NationPress) The Ahmedabad Polo Tournament, the most significant polo event in Gujarat, drew to a close on Sunday following three days filled with thrilling competition, equestrian displays, and vibrant cultural performances.

Hosted by the Gujarat Polo Association and backed by the Adani Group, the concluding day seamlessly merged sports and entertainment. It featured a captivating dance act and an engaging Trone Act, setting a festive mood for the evening. Equestrian showcases emphasized the discipline and expertise vital in horse sports.

A standout moment on the final day was the match between Apollo Aviators and Lion’s Den Legends, the two prominent women’s teams in the tournament. In a nail-biting finish, Lion’s Den Legends triumphed over Apollo Aviators with a score of 4–3. Sanjula Mann netted all three goals for Apollo Aviators, while Dr. Shivangi Jai Singh spearheaded Lion’s Den Legends with three goals, complemented by a goal from Lavanya Shekhawat.

The men's final featuring Mayfair Polo and Pune Warriors then took the spotlight, culminating in an exhilarating finish. After a tied score of 7–7 at the end of regulation time, Pune Warriors clinched victory by scoring the Golden Goal, concluding the match at 8-7.
