Mumbai, October 20 (NationPress) – Television star Akash Jagga, known for his role as Kundan in the series Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani, fondly reminisced about his cherished childhood experiences during Diwali.
In an insightful conversation with IANS, Akash shared that as a child, he was enthusiastic about preparing the home for the festival, engaging in activities like adorning it with diyas and rangoli.
"As a kid, I used to get thrilled about decorating the house with diyas and assisting with rangoli even if I made a mess half the time," he recalled.
He also mentioned his love for bursting crackers and enjoying homemade sweets.
"Setting off crackers with friends until late at night and savoring homemade sweets afterwards was the pinnacle of joy. Those simpler times truly resonate with me," Akash expressed.
When asked about the essence of Diwali, Akash conveyed that he treasures the moments of togetherness, laughter, and sharing sweets.
"The essence of Diwali for me lies in its vibe – that blend of lights, laughter, and connection among people. There’s something magical about those few days when everyone is in high spirits, homes are filled with the aroma of sweets, and warmth permeates the atmosphere," he elaborated.
Reflecting on the significance of Diwali, Akash stated that it symbolizes a fresh start and gratitude.
"For me, Diwali represents new beginnings and gratitude. It’s that season when you pause, reflect, and appreciate the people and moments that illuminate your life, akin to lighting diyas within yourself," shared the 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' actor.
When discussing his favorite Diwali dish, Akash revealed that he is particularly fond of Puri, aloo ki sabzi, and paneer.
He concluded, "Honestly, nothing compares to homemade food during Diwali. Puri, aloo sabzi, some paneer, and of course, gulab jamun to wrap it up on a sweet note. Simple yet unbeatable."
