Mumbai, April 3 (NationPress) Bollywood star Akshay Kumar became emotional when he was confronted about his use of the phrase ‘fk you’ in the trailer for “Kesari Chapter 2.”

During the grand trailer unveiling in New Delhi on Thursday, the actor addressed the media and explained his choice of the offensive expression. Portraying the character of lawyer C Sankaran Nair, Akshay remarked, “Haan maine yeh word use kiya. Lekin voh jo word use kiya tha (for Indians in the trailer) ‘You are still a slave!’- that was not a gaali for you? I think usse bade gaali aur kuchh ho nahi sakti. I would have been happy if you had said something about using the word ‘slave’ rather than you talking about me saying ‘fk you’. Mere hisaab se agar aise time pe hum logon ne goli bhi maar di hoti na toh bhi chhota rehta.”

The Khiladi actor was observed wiping his tears as he spoke to the press.

In one dramatic scene from the trailer, Akshay boldly confronts the British Empire in a courtroom. When an assertion is made, “You are still a slave to the British Empire,” he counters with the powerful words, ‘F**k You’, showcasing the strength of his character.

The trailer begins with a gripping exchange between Akshay and General Dyer, during which he questions, “How did you warn the crowd at Jallianwala Bagh to disperse? Did you use tear gas? Did you fire shots in the air? Or did you simply open fire without any warning?” General Dyer defends himself by saying, “They were not just a crowd; they were terrorists.” Akshay responds, “But they were human beings! Babies as young as eight or nine months were shot in the chest with bullets. What weapons did they have?”

Based on true events, the film explores the consequences of the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the relentless pursuit of justice led by C. Sankaran Nair, a notable lawyer and former President of the Indian National Congress. The cast includes Ananya Panday as Dilreet Gill, a tenacious female barrister who collaborates with Nair, while R. Madhavan plays Neville McKinley, a brilliant character referred to as 'a genius' in the narrative.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, “Kesari Chapter 2” is scheduled to hit theaters on April 18.
