Alia Bhatt Praises PM Modi: Learning So Much from His Stories

Mumbai, December 11 (NationPress) Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt expressed her great honor at meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that simply listening to his stories provides her with immense learning.

Alia took to Instagram to share several photos from her encounter with the esteemed leader during the centenary celebrations of Raj Kapoor.

She remarked: “Art is eternal. Sometimes, in order to progress, we must reflect on the past and learn. Mr. Raj Kapoor’s influence was indeed worldwide, leaving a mark through the films he created and the narratives he shared.”

Extolling the Prime Minister, Alia continued: “It was a true privilege to be invited by our esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, to spend a wonderful afternoon honoring the life and legacy of Mr. Raj Kapoor.”

“Just listening to his stories allows me to gain so much insight, and his legacy continues to motivate me.”

The actress discussed the upcoming “Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival”, which will showcase the late star’s most acclaimed films, covering nearly four decades, such as Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949), Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Jagte Raho (1956), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Sangam (1964), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973), and Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985). This festival will be presented in 40 cities and 135 theaters across India from December 13 to December 15 at PVR-Inox and Cinepolis venues.

“We are excited to commemorate 100 remarkable years of his artistry with the ‘Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival’ from December 13-15 in 10 cities, across 40 cinemas and 135 screens nationwide. #100YearsOfRajKapoor,” she added.

On Wednesday morning, actress Kareena Kapoor expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for a memorable afternoon, sharing that the leader’s warmth, attention, and support in celebrating Raj Kapoor's legacy means everything to her.

Kareena also posted a series of pictures on Instagram featuring the “Kapoor” family alongside the PM. One photo captured the Prime Minister presenting a signed note for her sons Taimur and Jeh. Additional images depicted the leader engaging with Saif, Ranbir, Neetu, Alia, and Kareena.
