Hyderabad, Sep 3 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to take part in the Ganesh Nimajjanam celebrations in Hyderabad on September 6.
At Moazzam Jahi Market, he will greet the Ganesh idols that will be part of the annual procession, organized by the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi. Additionally, he will address attendees during the event.
Each year, the Samithi invites leaders from BJP, RSS, VHP, and various Hindu organizations to participate in the procession. This marks the inaugural participation of the Union Home Minister in this annual celebration.
As per the Telangana BJP, Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad at 1:10 p.m. on September 6. Following his arrival at Begumpet Airport via a special aircraft, he will head to the ITC Kakatiya Hotel for a meeting with state BJP leaders.
During this meeting, he will discuss the current political landscape in the state and review the party's strategy for the forthcoming local body elections. Strengthening the party's presence in Telangana is also expected to be a key topic of discussion during this hour-long meeting.
The Union Home Minister will also view a photo exhibition organized by the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi, showcasing their journey over the past 46 years at the same venue.
After viewing the exhibition, Amit Shah will virtually inaugurate the headquarters for the 28th battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
His visit will conclude with his participation in the Ganesh Nimajjanam festivities at Moazzam Jahi Market.
Every year, the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi organizes the Nimajjanam procession, where thousands of Ganesh idols from across the city and its outskirts unite in a grand procession that culminates at Hussain Sagar in the city center.
In the meantime, Hyderabad Police Commissioner C. V. Anand has reviewed the security arrangements for the procession, stating that approximately 30,000 police personnel will be deployed to ensure a peaceful immersion ceremony throughout the city.
Commissioner Anand, alongside GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu, and other officials, inspected the Balapur Ganesh immersion route.
