Andhra Pradesh CM Issues Strong Warning Against Land Grabbers

Amaravati, Dec 20 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday issued a serious warning to individuals involved in land grabbing, stating they will be incarcerated.

Speaking at a revenue seminar in Edupugallu, within the Penamaluru Assembly segment of Krishna district, he emphasized that the government will take decisive action against those engaging in land grabbing activities.

"Be cautious of attempting to seize even a fraction of land. Anyone involved in land grabbing, fraud, or extortion will undoubtedly face jail time," the Chief Minister stated.

Chandrababu Naidu assured that the government would implement necessary actions to amicably resolve land disputes and reiterated the commitment to adhere to regulations until the issues are adequately addressed.

He noted that corrections will be made to the errors identified in the re-survey process shortly, stating that the government's intention is to ensure justice for all.

"You elected the TDP-led NDA Government with 57 percent of the votes, demonstrating your tremendous trust in us. We have been diligently working for the past six months to meet your needs," the Chief Minister added.

Chandrababu accused the previous administration of dismantling all governance structures in the state, expressing that the implementation of the Land Titling Act had exacerbated the situation. He mentioned that more than 300,000 citizens participated in the revenue 'sadassulu', resulting in 95,263 petitions submitted.

The Chief Minister committed to introducing QR codes on passbooks and a geotagging feature, allowing land records to be accessed at any time. He also pointed out that Rs 12 crore was required merely to remove the photographs of former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy from boundary marker stones established during the YSRCP rule.

Revenue 'sadassulu' sessions are being held in nearly every village across the state from December 6 until January 8. Chandrababu Naidu vowed to take personal responsibility for returning land to rightful owners.

The regulations under the Land Grabbing Act are stringent, ensuring that severe penalties will be enforced against illegal land grabbers.
