Amaravati, Dec 5 (NationPress) Chief Minister N. Speaking at the grand assembly of parents and teachers at the AP Model school in Bhamini, located in Parvatipuram Manyam, he revealed plans for a student innovation partnership summit to be held in the last week of January, aiming to foster creativity among students. This event will also invite industrialists, who will recognize and reward outstanding student innovation projects.
Furthermore, CM Naidu shared that financial support will be available for students eager to pursue higher education abroad at a minimal interest rate of 25 paise under the Kalalaku Rekkalu initiative.
Expressing his satisfaction with the knowledge and skills of the students, he emphasized that the future is bright for the youth, as India boasts a significant young population.
He underscored the importance of moral value-based education, stating that instilling ethical values in students is crucial. To support this, the government has appointed spiritual leader Chaganti Koteswara Rao as an advisor to cultivate an ethics-centered society.
CM Naidu noted that several reforms have been implemented in the education sector under the NDA government to establish a model system in the state. A total of 28 reforms have been introduced in school education, along with 10 in intermediate education.
The government is also executing the Talliki Vandanam scheme, providing financial assistance to students in government schools, with one mother reportedly receiving Rs 90,000 for her six children.
Improvements in the quality of meals provided under the Mid-day meal scheme were highlighted, with a teacher-student ratio of one teacher for every 18 students in government schools, compared to one for 28 in private institutions.
To explore the best educational practices globally, teachers will be sent to countries such as Finland for training.
CM Naidu is committed to making Andhra Pradesh the leading state in the country, noting that the per capita income in the state is Rs 2.37 lakh, while specific regions like Parvatipuram and Palakonda exhibit lower averages, indicating a need for economic growth in agency areas.
Previously, both CM Naidu and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh participated in a classroom setting to experience teaching methods firsthand, which included the classroom clickers program designed to provide feedback on student comprehension.
They also launched the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) program, declaring Saturday as a no-bag day to encourage students’ participation in sports and arts.
Nearly 16,000 teachers have been recruited under the Mega DSC initiative to enhance educational standards, with a strong emphasis on the importance of education, prompting all leaders to engage in a comprehensive meeting with teachers and parents.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also took part in the Mega teacher and parents meeting held at Palnadu.
