Andrew Garfield Admits He Struggles with Doom Scrolling
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, March 29 (NationPress) Renowned Hollywood star Andrew Garfield has revealed that he faces the same challenges as many when it comes to doom scrolling.
During an interview with the Associated Press at the London premiere of his latest film, 'The Magic Faraway Tree', on March 22, the 42-year-old actor opened up about his social media habits.
He stated, “I’m just as prone as anyone else. Being human, we have these addictive responses that social media taps into. So, I’m not exempt from it.”
According to 'People', Garfield confessed that while he lacks an official social media profile, he maintains a few “creeper accounts” to satisfy his scrolling urges.
He remarked, “I don’t engage on social media. I have, like, creeper accounts in certain places, and I really need to exercise discipline over myself.”
This isn’t the first time fans have been clued into his discreet social media usage. His co-star from 'We Live in Time', Florence Pugh, inadvertently spilled the beans during a segment for Vanity Fair where they tested their knowledge about each other.
“Well, you don’t have any public social network, but the ones that you do, that I do know of you using, you tweet. Not much, but you do tweet,” said Pugh, 30, when asked about Garfield’s preferred social media platform.
Garfield responded, “I've never tweeted.”
“Oh, I’m sorry, but you do look at tweets a lot,” she said, leading him to clarify, “You were right the first time, no social network.”
“Oh, so I shouldn’t have said that,” the actress admitted, realizing she had revealed his secret.
