Mumbai, May 17 (NationPress) Acclaimed director Anees Bazmee, celebrated for films like Welcome, Singh Is Kinng, and No Entry, is stepping into the Marathi film industry with his debut feature, ‘Jarann’. This film brings his mainstream flair to a regional cinema renowned for its rich storytelling and powerful performances.
The cast includes Amruta Subhash, Anita Date, Kishor Kadam, Jyoti Malashe, Vikram Gaikwad, Rajan Bhise, Avani Joshi, and Seema Deshmukh in key roles.
‘Jarann’ delves into the shadowy realm of ancient superstitions, psychological turmoil, and emotional intricacies within a family.
Discussing his involvement, Bazmee stated, “I arrived in Bombay at a tender age, and this state has significantly influenced my journey. I have always admired the outstanding quality of Marathi cinema, which is famous for its compelling narratives and talented actors, many of whom I consider friends.”
He elaborated that upon discovering this project, he was captivated by its impactful story and the director's exceptional skills.
