Amaravati, Jan 14 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, spent the second day in his native village Naravaripalli, located in Tirupati district, celebrating Sankranti with his family.
During the festivities, Naidu, along with his wife Bhuvaneswari, son and state minister Nara Lokesh, daughter-in-law Brahmani, grandson Devansh, and other relatives conducted a puja for the village deities Gangamma and Nagalamma.
Following the rituals, the Chief Minister and his wife unveiled statues honoring the late N.T. Rama Rao, the founder of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and his wife Basvatarakam.
Lokesh, Brahmani, and various family members, along with TDP leaders and workers, took part in the event.
NTR, as he was affectionately known, was Naidu's father-in-law, who currently leads the party at the national level.
Naidu also paid homage to his parents at their samadhi situated in the village.
In addition, he emphasized the importance of promoting organic farming throughout the state.
Naidu held a discussion with party workers at the Naravaripalli Skill Development Centre regarding development initiatives in the nearby villages of Kandulavaripalli, A. Rangampeta, and Chinnaramapuram.
He outlined plans for pilot development projects, noting that nations are increasingly focusing on natural farming. He pointed out that consumers now have the ability to scrutinize their food sources.
With rising health awareness, Naidu observed that food habits are changing swiftly. He encouraged villagers to adopt new cultivation methods, highlighting the growing production of millets and fruits. The government aims to enhance the use of drip irrigation.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister mentioned the adoption of innovative practices for pest management, including modern techniques for safeguarding mango plantations. He also noted the use of drones to detect pests. Naidu pledged to advance the industrialization of the entire Tirupati district while ensuring local residents become industrialists.
