Amaravati, Jan 13 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, visited his native village, Naravaripalle in Tirupati district, to celebrate the Sankranti festival with his family. On Monday, he engaged in local development and welfare activities.

Despite the festive occasion, the Chief Minister remained active throughout the day.

After participating in the morning's Sankranti festivities with local leaders from the Telugu Desam Party, he proceeded to lay the foundation for various infrastructure projects, including roads, electric sub-stations, and school facilities in Chandragiri mandal.

The state government has partnered with Easy Mart to provide high-quality essential goods at affordable prices. During this event, several women made online purchases to promote awareness.

Representatives from Easy Mart informed Naidu that they currently operate in Kuppam and plan to expand to other regions in Tirupati district soon.

Additionally, the Chief Minister distributed 15 subsidized electric auto-rickshaws to women under the Self-Employment Scheme, which is expected to save around Rs 15,000 per month in fuel costs.

An agreement with Care and Grow aims to ensure comprehensive physical, mental, and behavioral readiness for children at Anganwadi centers.

Present at the event was Nara Lokesh, the Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics.

Naidu also laid the groundwork for a Zilla Parishad high school building in Rangampet of Chandragiri mandal, with a budget of Rs 1.10 crore, and for cement roads in Kandula Vari Palle, Chinna Ramapuram, and A Rangampet villages, allocated Rs 3.2 crore. An electric sub-station at Naravaripalle is being constructed with an investment of Rs 4.27 crore.

He also initiated various other development projects in the area and distributed drips and sprinklers to farmers as part of a micro-irrigation scheme.
