Chennai, April 12 (NationPress) Actor Arjun Das, who portrays the antagonist in Ajith Kumar’s recently released film ‘Good Bad Ugly’, has been awarded the title of Best Actor for his remarkable performance in the critically acclaimed romantic crime drama ‘Rasavathi’ at the New Jersey Indian and International Film Festival.
Santhakumar, the director of ‘Rasavathi – The Alchemist’, announced this exciting news on his social media timeline.

This accolade is not the first for the film; earlier this year, it also received recognition for Best Sound Design at the London International Film Festival 2025.
Sound engineer Tapas Nayak’s contributions to ‘Rasavathi’ won the award, surpassing nine other films from around the world. Competing titles included ‘Nobody Wants to Shoot a Woman’, ‘Black, Queer & Done’, ‘Perfect Meal - My Dear’, ‘Let’s Eat Together’, ‘The Chocolate Club’, ‘Culture Vs War. Liberov’, ‘The Therapy’, ‘We Will Not Be Silenced’, and ‘Dawn At Gougane Barra’.
In addition to the Best Sound Design category, Rasavathi – The Alchemist received nominations in five other categories, including Best Director of a Foreign Language Film, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Editing of a Foreign Language Film, Outstanding Actor in a Foreign Language Film, and Outstanding Actress in a Foreign Language Film.
Alongside Arjun Das and Tanya Ravichandran, the film featured a talented cast, including Sujith Shankar, Ramya Subramanian, G.M. Sundar, Reshma Venkatesh, Sujatha, and Rishikanth.
The film, celebrated for its artistry, includes music composed by SS Thaman. Notably, ‘Rasavathi’ marks the third collaboration between Santhakumar and Thaman.
