Chennai, March 14 (NationPress) The critically lauded Tamil romantic crime film 'Rasavathi' (translated as 'The Alchemist'), directed by Santhakumar and starring Arjun Das and Tanya Ravichandran, has achieved yet another milestone by securing its seventh international accolade.

This Tamil production has been awarded Best Cinematography at the prestigious London International Filmmakers Festival.

Director Santhakumar shared the exciting news on his X account, stating, "The London International Filmmakers Festival honors 'RASAVATHI' with the Best Cinematography award. Kudos to Saravanan Elavarasu and Siva! This marks the seventh international award for #Rasavathi @saranelavarasu."

It is noteworthy that the film was previously nominated in five categories at the Nice International Film Festival in France last year.

Director Santhakumar had also announced this achievement on his X timeline, expressing his pride in the film's recognition in France: "Respect and recognition for the Tamil movie 'RASAVATHI' from FRANCE. Officially selected for the International competition in five categories. #Rasavathi."

'Rasavathi' has garnered significant acclaim globally, winning awards at various film festivals.

Additionally, the film earned Arjun Das the title of Best Actor at the 15th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival in India.

In this film, Arjun Das portrayed a Siddha doctor named 'Sadasiva Pandiyan', selected from over 700 entries at the festival.

Earlier, he had also been awarded Best Actor for this film at the New Jersey Indian and International Film Festival 2024.

Last year, 'Rasavathi' won the Best Sound Design award at the London International Film Festival 2025.

Sound engineer Tapas Nayak received accolades for his work, outperforming nine other films, including 'Nobody Wants to Shoot a Woman', 'Black, Queer & Done', 'Perfect Meal - My Dear', 'Let's Eat Together', and more.
