New Delhi, Nov 24 (NationPress) As the historic flag-hoisting ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir approaches on Tuesday, preparations in Ayodhya are in full swing. Senior leaders, seers, and members of the temple trust are emphasizing the moment's importance.
Uttar Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the flag in Ayodhya. On January 22, 2024, PM Modi will inaugurate the Ram Lalla Temple.” Pathak noted that this event signifies another crucial step in Ayodhya’s spiritual renaissance.
According to temple authorities, the scale and sanctity of the Tuesday ceremony have been confirmed.
Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Mandir Trust, mentioned, “The flag will be raised atop the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir on Tuesday. Dignitaries including Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Governor, and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh will be present.”
Providing further context on the Prime Minister's involvement in the Ram Mandir movement, Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, shared, “While the Prime Minister leads the government, he remains a dedicated pracharak of the RSS. Gopal Rao, Special Invitee Member of the Trust, remarked that preparations are ongoing: “Tomorrow, the ceremonial wedding of Ram and Janki will take place, with evening events planned. This year, we will hold symbolic celebrations and aim for grandeur next year.”
He shared details of the rituals: “A hawan has been underway at the Yagyamandap for the past four days for the flag-hoisting ceremony. Approximately 100 priests are performing rituals, while 30 patrons are participating in various ceremonies at designated spots. The ritual is anticipated to conclude by tomorrow afternoon.”
