The flag, specially crafted for the Ram Temple, measures 22 feet in length and 11 feet in width, marking the completion of the temple’s construction. Created by a parachute expert from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the flag weighs approximately two to three kilograms and is designed to fit the 161-foot-high summit of the temple and its 42-foot flagpole.
Distinctively, the flag will display the Sun symbol, representing Lord Rama's Suryavanshi heritage and divine power.
Guests present at the flag-hoisting ceremony will be prohibited from bringing mobile phones into the temple area.
Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, announced that the flag will be raised atop the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Also attending this historic event will be Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Mohan Bhagwat, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Rai further mentioned that thousands of saints from eastern Uttar Pradesh have been invited, with around 7,000 attendees expected at the 'Dhwaj' hoisting ceremony.
Gopal Rao, a special invitee of the Trust, revealed that a 'havan' (fire ritual) has been taking place in the Yagna Mandap for the past four days in preparation for the flag-hoisting event. About 100 priests are engaged in the ritual, with 30 individuals participating in various ceremonies at different locations.
Locals regard November 25 as a day of immense pride for followers of Sanatan Dharma globally. Many feel that the establishment of the Ram Temple signifies not only a religious achievement but also a significant moment for India's cultural identity.
