Quetta, Sep 12 (NationPress) Prominent Baloch activists reached out on Friday to the families of the 9/11 victims, mourning the tragic loss of innocent lives 24 years ago while also honoring the countless men, women, and children across the United States, NATO nations, Balochistan, and Afghanistan who were subsequently killed by forces fostered by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and its military intelligence agencies.
"It is widely acknowledged that numerous reports detail how Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda were granted refuge in Pakistan by its intelligence services and military leaders, with the tacit approval of political figures. With financial, military, and logistical backing, these groups were empowered to wage a war that resulted in profound sacrifices and devastation for America, NATO, and Afghanistan alike," a letter from human rights advocate Mir Baloch on X explained.
The letter asserted that Pakistan’s military leaders have publicly acknowledged their collaboration with terrorist factions. "Records will show that the ISI triumphed over the Soviet Union in Afghanistan with American funds, and post-9/11, the ISI outmaneuvered America in Afghanistan, also using American funds," it quoted former ISI chief General Hamid Gul as stating in an interview with Pakistani media outlet ARY TV.
Moreover, another ISI chief, General Asad Durrani, admitted on an international platform that while accepting US funds, Pakistan covertly supported the Taliban, emphasizing, "America and Pakistan were never allies; they are in a state of conflict."
“Pakistan transformed the tragedy of 9/11 into a profitable venture, receiving $33 billion in US aid, which was merely blood money for its soldiers. What was intended to combat terrorism morphed into a lucrative business for Islamabad’s Generals. Today, those same Generals are exacerbating Balochistan’s plight,” the letter elaborated.
“Without the Baloch nation’s consent, they are negotiating with the Trump administration concerning Balochistan’s mineral resources, effectively selling the future of an oppressed populace for their own benefit,” it added.
The Baloch community directly appealed to the American public, urging them to prevent their government from wasting hard-earned taxpayer dollars on Pakistan’s deceit. They asserted that every agreement made with Islamabad regarding Balochistan’s resources represents not only a betrayal of justice but also an act that fuels the very terrorism threatening global stability.
“History has already illustrated the consequences of trusting Pakistan. Previous US administrations overlooked as Islamabad developed its nuclear capabilities under the guise of an American partnership. Now, Pakistan, emboldened like a rogue state, openly threatens global stability while collaborating with Iran to propose the annihilation of Israel,” the letter underscored.
“This is not merely a regional concern; it is a moral challenge for America. Stand with justice, support the Baloch nation, and refuse to empower those who profit from violence and terror,” it concluded.
