What Led to the Tragic Murder of a Bihar Girl in Bengaluru?

Bengaluru, June 9 (NationPress) Disturbing revelations have surfaced following the apprehension of seven suspects, including a woman, regarding the murder of a minor girl from Bihar in Bengaluru. The perpetrators had concealed the victim's body in a suitcase and discarded it near a railway bridge on the outskirts of the city.

The grim discovery was made on May 21 when local residents found an abandoned suitcase containing the remains of the 17-year-old victim. The Suryanagar police initiated an inquiry and collaborated with the Bihar police to apprehend the suspects.

Investigation findings indicated that 22-year-old Ashiq Kumar was responsible for the girl's death, with assistance from his relatives, who are also implicated in the crime.

As reported by authorities, Ashiq Kumar, employed at a private firm and residing in Kachanayakahalli, had traveled to Bihar on May 13. He managed to win over the victim, who lived in a nearby village.

On May 15, he persuaded her to accompany him to Bengaluru, and they arrived in the city on May 18. Ashiq Kumar then took her around Bengaluru before bringing her to the home of a relative, Mukesh.

On May 20, a dispute arose when she refused to engage in sexual acts. After her firm resistance, the accused brutally assaulted her.

Authorities revealed that he attacked her intimate areas with a beer bottle and struck her with an iron rod. Subsequently, he strangled her to death, as per police sources.

After committing the murder, the accused confided in his relatives and devised a scheme to fabricate the narrative that the body had been discarded from a moving train.

Following this plan, they stuffed her remains into a suitcase and hired a cab to Hale Chandapura Railway Bridge. Ensuring the area was clear, they disposed of the body near the tracks before returning to their homes in Bihar.

The Suryanagar police, who registered the case, commenced their investigation by reviewing CCTV footage, which captured the accused transporting the suitcase to the railway track.

In a separate complaint, the minor girl's parents had reported Ashiq Kumar for kidnapping their daughter in Bihar. After sharing information, the Bengaluru police traveled to Bihar and arrested all suspects.

The other individuals taken into custody include Mukesh Rajbanshi (35), Indu Devi (32), Rajaram Kumar (18), Pintu Kumar (18), Kaalu Kumar (18), and Raj Kumar (17). Authorities are investigating if the girl was subjected to gang rape and are awaiting medical reports.

The girl's father, a daily wage laborer with two wives, has seven daughters, with the victim being the second daughter of his first wife.
