Patna, March 27 (NationPress) A new political scandal has escalated tensions in Bihar, as accusations and rebuttals flood in from opposing parties.

Danish Rizwan, an advisor to Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, has made significant claims against RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, and Congress Bihar media head Rajesh Rathore. He has formally requested the filing of an FIR against them.

Rizwan contends that a video from 2017 featuring him has been altered through AI technology and spread on social media with the intent to tarnish his reputation.

He described the situation as a deliberate conspiracy, having lodged a formal complaint via email with the Bhojpur Cyber Police Station, calling for stringent legal action against the implicated parties.

This controversy ignited when a video was posted from the official account of the Rashtriya Janata Dal on the social platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday.

The video purportedly depicted Rizwan discharging a firearm into the air and was utilized by the party to target the NDA government regarding law and order concerns.

In a prompt response, Rizwan clarified that the video is nearly ten years old and has been misleadingly represented after undergoing AI alterations.

He asserted that the clip was circulated intentionally to harm his public image, thus amplifying the political discord.

With the complaint now submitted, the situation is poised for legal ramifications, adding further complexity to the already volatile political scene in the state.

In light of the escalating dispute, the Bhojpur police have commenced a formal inquiry into the alleged AI-manipulated video incident.

The investigation has been assigned to the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Ara Sadar, who is tasked with uncovering the facts associated with this case.

Investigators are concentrating on pinpointing who edited the video, how it was disseminated, and the rationale behind its extensive circulation on social media.

Authorities are dependent on technical and digital evidence, including forensic examination of the video and its online trajectory, to discern whether any manipulation has occurred.

This issue has further inflamed the political feud between the Rashtriya Janata Dal and NDA officials.

As the investigation unfolds, the controversy continues to deepen, contributing to the already charged political environment in Bihar, with both factions closely monitoring the investigation's outcome.
