Patna, June 17 (NationPress) In a sharp critique of the NDA government in Bihar, Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav unveiled an AI-generated video on Tuesday, condemning the recent appointments of relatives of high-ranking state and central ministers, notably Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Ashok Choudhary, to various commissions within Bihar.

The video accuses the Nitish Kumar-led administration of fostering nepotism and mocks the NDA by labeling it the “National Damad Aayog.”

“If you are related to someone in power, your qualifications aren’t questioned by the Bihar State ‘Damad Aayog,’ which is shielded by Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The perks are only for the elite,” Tejashwi stated on social media while promoting the video.

Earlier that day, Tejashwi escalated his remarks by humorously suggesting the establishment of a “Jamai Commission,” “Jija Commission,” and “Mehraru Commission” in Bihar.

He claimed that relatives of ministers are being appointed to commissions and important roles while the government neglects pressing concerns such as unemployment, inflation, and poverty.

“Chirag Paswan’s brother-in-law and Santosh Manjhi’s brother-in-law have been inducted into commissions. Even the spouse of an MP has been secured a position. Now, there’s a call for a Mehraru (wife) Commission too, as officials are preoccupied with placing their wives,” Yadav remarked.

Criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tejashwi remarked: “PM visits Bihar, criticizes us for dynastic politics, then departs. He never addresses the internal issues of his alliance. We demand to know from Nitish Kumar how many individuals from the RSS quota have been appointed in commissions.”

Tejashwi accused the government of running Bihar as a “family adjustment bureau,” and asserted that ministers are being kept in office against their term limits.

Continuing his satirical critique, Tejashwi labeled the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government as the “Bhunja Party,” alleging that its leaders revel in the turmoil of the administration.

“The Chief Minister appears to be in a political coma. Leaders of the Bhunja Party take delight in this chaos while Bihar is being exploited,” he stated.

Tejashwi's comments arise amid increasing scrutiny over political appointments and claims of favoritism in various commissions throughout Bihar.

Point of View

It's essential to assess the broader implications of nepotism in political appointments. While criticisms of favoritism are valid, it's crucial to address these issues through constructive dialogue and accountability. The integrity of Bihar's governance must be prioritized to ensure that appointments are based on merit, not connections.
