Patna, Aug 19 (NationPress) Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Tuesday launched a sharp critique of the Mahagathbandhan (Congress-RJD alliance), asserting that they represent the villains of the nation and that their foot march serves only their own political ambitions, rather than the welfare of the people.
Sinha's remarks were made in response to Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader, who during the voter Adhikar Yatra, proclaimed that the citizens of Bihar would oust the NDA government in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections and that the Mahagathbandhan would strive to position Rahul Gandhi as the nation’s next Prime Minister.
He expressed confidence that the electorate would see through their rhetoric and provide a fitting response in the impending Bihar Assembly elections, scheduled for later this year.
Earlier that day, during the third day of the voter Adhikar Yatra in Nawada, Tejashwi Yadav, accompanied by Rahul Gandhi, stated that the populace is prepared to displace the NDA from power.
"In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, we will endeavor to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister," he declared, receiving enthusiastic applause from his supporters.
Both Deputy CMs, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha, responded with sarcastic remarks.
Vijay Kumar Sinha characterized the alliance as a ‘group of villains’.
“They intend to appoint someone as Prime Minister, someone else as Chief Minister, and yet another as President on their own. These are the villains of the country. The electorate of Bihar will certainly teach them a lesson regarding their electoral experiments,” he remarked to reporters.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary added sarcastically, "These individuals will not attain even the Mukhiya position now. The role of Prime Minister is a distant dream for them, one that will never materialize."
Amid the BJP-RJD verbal tussle, Tejashwi's push for ‘Rahul as PM’ has ignited considerable discussion in political circles, especially within the Opposition, as it comes at a strategic time during election season and may effectively leverage his newfound popularity to counter the BJP's aggressive campaign in the state.
