New Delhi, Oct 7 (NationPress) Following the assertion by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would falter in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections, the BJP and Shiv Sena responded robustly, emphasizing that voters prioritize development over mere rhetoric.
Lalu Yadav criticized the NDA, which includes the BJP and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United), by posting on social media platform X, stating, “Chhah or gyarah, NDA nau do gyarah” after the Election Commission announced that Bihar polls will take place in two phases on November 6 and November 11.
In reaction to Lalu’s remarks, Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam shared with IANS, “For years, Lalu Yadav and his colleagues kept Bihar stagnant and allowed ‘Jungle Raj’ to thrive. Infrastructure was neglected, and grassroots democracy was unsupported. Their focus was on personal gain, from the fodder scam to various other corrupt activities. What Lalu posted is not merely a statement; it reflects his arrogance.”
BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dinesh Sharma from Uttar Pradesh remarked, “The individual who now claims ‘nau do gyarah’ has already faced political defeat. Lalu Yadav’s influence has diminished. Currently, it is PM Modi’s charisma that resonates. The people of Bihar view the NDA government with optimism. Development is evident among the youth in Bihar.”
West Bengal BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul expressed, “While everyone knows of Lalu’s aspirations, after November 14, the citizens of Bihar will determine the outcome of ‘nau do gyarah.’ People are unwilling to revert to the troubled times of Lalu’s ‘Jungle Raj’ or the present situation in West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee. Surveys, including the IANS-Matrize survey, indicate that the NDA will secure significantly more seats. There’s no doubt that the BJP and NDA will reclaim power in Bihar.”
BJP leader Narendra Kumar Kashyap stated, “Be it Lalu Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, or the Congress, they distract themselves with illusions. The reality is that the NDA will return to power with a substantial majority. Our party has completed all election preparations.”
Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal noted, “Lalu Yadav has already lost his chance for two reasons. First, corruption allegations have tarnished his image. Second, his desire to crown his son is not supported by the public. The INDIA bloc and RJD are disheartened and already concede defeat, thus creating confusion.”
BJP MP Brij Lal from Uttar Pradesh commented, “Lalu Yadav, a symbol of corruption, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison and should feel ashamed. The NDA has triumphed before and will do so again. Such an individual has no right to make such assertions.”
Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC said, “Lalu Yadav excels in oratory, but everyone is aware of the reality. Bihar endured suffering under his governance, characterized by poor law and order, unsafe conditions for women, and neglected education. Voters will prioritize development over empty speeches.
Meanwhile, BSP MP Ramji Gautam proclaimed, “NDA, RJD—all will face ‘nau do gyarah.’ The BSP is set to form the government in Bihar, contesting all 243 seats, with preparations in full swing. We will win.”
Congress MP Manoj Kumar added, “It’s evident that the NDA will face a farewell. Following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), those remaining in Bihar will vote for change. The INDIA bloc will lead the government on November 14.”
