Key Takeaways
New Delhi, March 8 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva expressed his approval on Sunday regarding the demolition conducted by municipal authorities on the unlawfully constructed residence of a family purportedly implicated in the murder of a young man in Uttam Nagar during the Holi festival.
Sachdeva vehemently denounced the violence that led to the death of Tarun in Uttam Nagar, a tragic incident triggered by a dispute over the accidental throwing of a water-filled balloon.
According to the city BJP President, the extremists have previously wreaked havoc on the families of Delhi, but the decisive actions taken by the Delhi Police and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi following Tarun's horrific murder will act as a warning for others.
As reported by police officials, the disagreement erupted on Holi when colored water from a balloon unintentionally splashed onto a woman from a different family. The balloon was allegedly tossed by an 11-year-old girl celebrating Holi on the terrace with her family members.
The burst balloon on the roadway led to colored water splattering on the woman, igniting an argument between the two families, which rapidly escalated into a violent clash.
On Saturday, Delhi Social Welfare Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh and Health and Family Welfare Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh visited Tarun's family, assuring them that the perpetrators would face the harshest penalties for their actions and that the law would be enforced rigorously.
During this meeting, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, the Member of Parliament from West Delhi, and Raj Sharma, the Najafgarh District President of BJP, were also in attendance.
Ravindra Indraj Singh lamented that this incident is profoundly distressing and heartbreaking.
He highlighted that Tarun was a bright and sensible young man with a promising future, serving as a beacon of hope and support for his family’s aspirations for a better tomorrow. This tragic event has shattered their dreams, he remarked.
He further expressed that the Holi festival, symbolizing brotherhood, love, and joy, has been tainted by the violent actions of a few individuals, which is exceedingly regrettable.
Ravindra Indraj Singh reaffirmed that the Delhi government is resolutely standing by the victim's family during this challenging period.
He guaranteed the family that the offenders would receive the strictest possible punishment for their actions and that the law would be enforced with utmost seriousness.
