New Delhi, Jan 24 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has recently directed criticism towards the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. They claim that members of his own party openly refer to him as "immature" and hold him accountable for the party's nearly 100 electoral losses.
Pradeep Bhandari, the BJP National Spokesperson, took to social media platform X, stating, "No one in the Congress takes Rahul Gandhi seriously!"
He further quoted Shakeel Ahmad, a former Union Minister, who labeled the "virtual Congress President" Rahul Gandhi as a "coward" and "immature," predicting that under his leadership, Congress may not even rank as the third-largest party in the nation!
Bhandari shared a video clip of Ahmad making these remarks, along with the message, "Congress exposes Rahul Gandhi, who is nearing his century of defeats."
In his video statement, Bhandari articulated that Congress leaders believe the issues raised by Rahul Gandhi do not resonate with the public.
"Congress leaders concur that the entire matter concerning the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls brought up by Rahul Gandhi is a complete failure," Bhandari asserted.
He criticized Rahul Gandhi for what he termed his "hypocrisy" regarding democracy, asserting that the LoP has not fostered democratic principles within his own party.
According to Bhandari, Ahmad has suggested that Rahul Gandhi has appointed Mallikarjun Kharge as a mere figurehead as Congress President, insinuating that the LoP does not genuinely believe in organizational democracy.
Bhandari noted that an increasing number of Congress leaders publicly acknowledge that Rahul Gandhi has driven the party to failure, attributing 95 of the electoral defeats to his leadership.
The video clip shared by Bhandari features Shakeel Ahmad referring to Rahul Gandhi as the "virtual President" of Congress.
In the footage, Shakeel Ahmad, a Congress leader from Bihar, mentioned that he hasn't sought an audience with Rahul Gandhi in five years, implying that the LoP harbors doubts about his own party members.
Ahmad expressed disappointment that Rahul Gandhi has failed to unite even those Congress leaders who were closely associated with his mother, former party President Sonia Gandhi.
